Let’s talk Gingham…….Summer’s just around the corner and the G. Stuff is trending like mad this season….but has it ever truly been away? A flourish shows up every spring/summer don’t it? Saying that……Vintage has always been it’s summer home.

Gawn are the days when BB (Bridget Bardot) wore Gingham and over night racks of dresses and world fabric stocks disappeared……we are not going to see every other gal on the streets of fashion in it as today fashion is far tooooooooo eclectic. Gingham is not just for school gals or table-tops but do be careful how you wear it!
Summer is for everyone but have a go at Gingham this season and the one after too!
You’ve been PINKED!
The “You’ve been PINKED!” Trophy today goes to these little HORRORS!
The point of a shoe in my humble estimation is to enhance a gal’s foot and one thing a Gal certainly doesn’t need is to make the foot look larger than it really is unless you are a professional clown. The side elevation of a shoe is one of the most important aspects.
I do appreciate that style and design are subjective but really. You can buy these horrors on-line for the princely sum of £207 + P&P (£7). They are (laughably) designed by CoSTUME NATIONAL. I have never heard of this private company but apparently it was founded in Milan by Ennio Capasa. The are no retail outlets in the UK for this brand despite having 5 Flagship Shops internationally. The CN Shoes factory is based in Fossò where they develop and produce footwear…..so that’s where the blame lies……
If a male personage didn’t design these shoes I’ll eat my hat!
